Democratic Government

Democracy is a system in which the government of a country is elected by the people. Government is the group of people who rule or control a country.

Democratic Government: Democracy is a form of government where the people elect their representatives, who in turn govern the nation. The government is directly or indirectly exercised by the people through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections.

Elements of a democracy:-

A democracy has certain key elements which make it the most preferred form of Government today. These elements include participation, accountability, conflict resolution, and concern for equality and justice.

(A) Participation:-  It means 'to take part in'. In a democracy, every citizen has the right and the means to participate in the decision-making process of the Government. in democracies, citizens directly participate in, and influence, government decisions, through methods like strikes, protest marches and rallies. The media is another powerful tool of direct participation.
